RESOLUTION OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA ROSA RESCINDING RESOLUTION NO. RES-2021-199 WHICH PREVIOUSLY AUTHORIZED THE SUBMITTAL OF A HOMEKEY GRANT APPLICATION TO THE STATE OF CALIFORNIA DEPARTMENT OF HOUSING AND COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT WHEREAS, on November 16, 2021, the Council of the City of Santa Rosa approved Resolution No. RES-2021-199, authorizing the submittal of a Homekey grant application to the State of California Department of Housing and Community Development (HCD) for Caritas Center, a homeless services facility; and WHEREAS, Resolution No. RES-2021-199 identified Catholic Charities of the Diocese of Santa Rosa as a co-applicant on the Caritas Center project; and WHEREAS, Catholic Charities of the Diocese of Santa Rosa subsequently established and added a separate entity, Caritas Center QALICB, to the Caritas Center project, which must be added to the Homekey grant application; and WHEREAS, when the Caritas Center Homekey grant application was first submitted, the Homekey signatory requirements allowed the City Manager or designee to execute the Homekey application and documents. The signatory requirements have changed, and the Mayor or designee must now execute the Homekey application and documents; and WHEREAS, the Council wishes to rescind Resolution No. RES-2021-199 and adopt a revised resolution that includes Caritas Center QALICB as a co-applicant and authorizes the Mayor or designee to execute the Homekey application and documents.
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that Resolution No. RES-2021-199 is rescinded in its entirety, effective the date of adoption by Council.
