RESOLUTION NO. RES-2024-051
RESOLUTION OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA ROSA APPROVING THE COOPERATIVE PURCHASE WITH MOTOROLA SOLUTIONS, INC. FOR POLICE RADIO EQUIPMENT WHEREAS, the Police Department requires replacement of the portable radios to provide clear, reliable radio communications at all time for the safety of the community and staff; and WHEREAS, following a competitive solicitation issued under the Houston-Galveston Area Council’s (H-GAC) Cooperative Purchasing Program, H-GAC and Motorola Solutions, Inc. (Motorola) entered into Master Agreement No.RA05-21, which allows other local government agencies to purchase radio equipment under the agreement; and WHEREAS, Section 3-08.160 of the Santa Rosa City Code allows for purchase of supplies, material, equipment, and services made under a cooperative purchasing program maintained by other public agencies; and WHEREAS, the Police and Finance Departments would like to utilize the cooperative arrangement administered by H-GAC to purchase 130 LTE cellular capable radios and software from Motorola; and WHEREAS, the Police and Finance Department staff requests and recommends approval of the Customer Agreement with Motorola, attached hereto as Exhibit A, to purchase 130 LTE cellular capable radios and software in an amount not to exceed $799,782.54.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Council of the City of Santa Rosa approves the Customer Agreement with Motorola Solutions, Inc. in an amount not to exceed $799,782.54, in substantially the same form as Exhibit A attached hereto, subject to approval as to form by the City Attorney.
