RESOLUTION NO. RES-2024-056
RESOLUTION OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA ROSA TO APPROVING AND AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO NEGOTIATE AND EXECUTE A SERVICE CONTRACT WITH SANTA ROSA CITY SCHOOL DISTRICT AND AUTHORIZING THE CHIEF FINANCIAL OFFER TO INCREASE APPROPRIATIONS WHEREAS, the Santa Rosa City School District has agreed to partner with the City of Santa Rosa Recreation and Parks Department to provide summer programs for youth; and WHEREAS, the Santa Rosa City School District has agreed to reimburse the City for staffing and supply costs associated with providing these services; and WHEREAS, the Santa Rosa City School District has agreed to provide administrative support for program registration and facilities to operate the program, and the City of Santa Rosa Recreation and Parks Department agrees to provide adequate staffing, supplies and curriculum.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Council of the City of Santa Rosa approves Santa Rosa City Schools Service Contract and authorizes the City Manager or designee to negotiate and execute subject to approval as to form by the City Attorney, the contract substantially the form attached to this Resolution as Exhibit A, including delegation of authority to the City Manager to modify the one-way indemnity provision to a mutual indemnity provision.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Council authorize the Chief Financial Officer to increase appropriations in revenue and expenditures by the approved contract award.
