I wanted to reach out and thank you for enacting the recent Proclamation on Affordable Housing in Santa Rosa.
The key element to keeping a main segment of housing for Seniors affordable in Santa Rosa would be the lowering of the In Place Transfer Fee from 10% to 5% as Sonoma County has done in their Rent Control Ordinance.
The SRMOA is seeking this change so that Santa Rosa’s homes remain competitive in the real estate market as affordable housing for Seniors.
Please, do not leave out this important part in maintaining affordable housing for Seniors purchasing homes in our 12 Senior Parks.
