RESOLUTION OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA ROSA WAIVER OF BID AND ISSUANCE OF BLANKET PURCHASE ORDER TO BARNES FAMILY COMPANY, INC. DBA PLATINUM CHEVROLET WHEREAS, the City of Santa Rosa Transportation and Public Works Department (TPW) submitted a request to purchase 2025 model year or newer Chevrolet Tahoe Special Services Vehicles (SSV); and WHEREAS, the purchase of the vehicles will replace existing assets used by the Santa Rosa Fire Department (SRFD); and WHEREAS, Section 3-08.100(D) of the City Code provides that purchases of supplies, material, equipment and services may be made without recourse to competitive bidding requirements where the source of supply, necessary restrictions in specifications, necessary standardization, quality considerations, or other valid reasons for waiving competition appears; and WHEREAS, Barnes Family Company, Inc. dba Platinum Chevrolet, Santa Rosa, California is the only local, as defined by City Code, Chevrolet vendor currently capable of providing pricing, availability, and support of these vehicles; and WHEREAS, the Chevrolet Tahoe Special Services Vehicles (SSV) is the standard product used by the SRFD.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Council of the City of Santa Rosa waives competitive bidding to purchase replacement Chevrolet Tahoe Special Services Vehicles (SSV) from the local dealer, Barnes Family Company, Inc. dba Platinum Chevrolet. / / /

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Council approves a Blanket Purchase Order with City Purchase Order Terms and Conditions for the purchase of 2025 Model Year and newer Chevrolet Tahoe Special Service Vehicles (SSV) to Barnes Family Company, Inc. dba Platinum Chevrolet, Santa Rosa, CA for an amount not to exceed $575,000.
