Thank you for considering the Senior Housing Combining District for 12 existing mobile/manufactured home parks in the City of Santa Rosa. We are asking that you proceed with approving this SH district as senior mobile/manufactured home parks provide a desperately needed low-income housing option for seniors in our City where they otherwise could not afford to live here.

Thank you in advance for your support of this SH district.

Kindly,
Bruce and Kathy Alexander

I am writing to you to lend my voice to the need to protect the low cost senior housing that we have. Many seniors struggle to make ends meet. So protecting what we have now is vital to us. I can't remember when the last senior mobile home park was built and I don't think any more are in future planning. This Tuesday's meeting to protect what we have left could mean the world to many of us. Respectfully: Steven Moneymaker From: Lynn Cameron

To All City Council Members: Please proceed with Senior Housing (-54) combining district for the 12 Mobile Home Parks as soon as possible.

I live in Rincon Valley Mobile Estates and if it weren't for rent control, I wouldn't be able to stay here. I have seen park spaces go up on new available spaces. I have lived here for 25 years so my space rent is so much lower than most of the people in this park. I have been told that some spaces are $800 to $900 a month! I pay $688 a month but it is going up in November.

Thank you for the help you have given us in the past and I am hoping for your continued support.

Dear Mr Candelaria,
I want to take this opportunity to express my view on senior housing in the mobile home parks. Yes, Sonoma County needs affordable housing for families, young people starting out and singles. What it doesn't need is removing safe housing for seniors. Senior parks, at least the one I live in, don't experience the activities that all-housing areas do. Car break-ins, confrontation, ding-dong-ditching and other events that can cause harm or distress to a vulnerable population.

We don't want fast-speeding cars, gang activity, or noisy activities.

Those of us whom bought into these communities did so for a reason.

Respectfully,
Kim Kirkman
