RESOLUTION NO. RES-2024-164
RESOLUTION OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA ROSA GRANTING ONE ADDITIONAL VEHICLE TOW FRANCHISE TO CREAM’S TOWING, INC. DBA CREAM’S HEAVY DUTY TOWING & STORAGE AND AUTHORIZING A FRANCHISE AGREEMENT FOR POLICE-GENERATED TOW OPERATIONS WHEREAS, the City requires tow services in the exercise of its police powers as necessary or appropriate to the general welfare of its citizens; and WHEREAS, on July 20, 2004, the City adopted Chapter 6-84 of the Santa Rosa City Code authorizing the City Council to grant franchises to one or more tow operators for police- generated tow services and required the payment of a franchise fee; and WHEREAS, the City would like to grant a new franchise to Cream’s Towing, Inc. dba Creams Heavy Duty Towing & Storage adding them to the rotational tow list for use by police-generated tow operations.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Council of the City of Santa Rosa grants a tow franchise to Cream’s Towing, Inc. dba Cream’s Heavy Duty Towing & Storage for police-generated tow operations.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Council approves the tow agreement with Cream’s Towing, Inc. dba Cream’s Heaving Duty Towing & Storage in substantially the same form as Exhibit A to the resolution, subject to approval as to form by the City Attorney.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Council authorizes the Chief of Police or his designee to execute the tow agreement.
