RESOLUTION NO. RES-2024-173
RESOLUTION OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA ROSA AMENDING THE CITY CLASSIFICATION AND SALARY PLAN, CREATING THE CLASSIFICATION OF TECHNICAL SERVICES MANAGER; ADDING 2.0 FTE TECHNICAL SERVICES MANAGERS; AND ELIMINATING 1.0 FTE TECHNICAL SERVICES DIVISION MANAGER, 1.0 FTE COMMUNITY SERVICES OFFICER, AND 1.0 FTE SENIOR ADMINISTRATIVE ASSISTANT WHEREAS, the Human Resources Director as the Personnel Officer, on behalf of the City Manager ensures the orderly and consistent administration of the City Council’s adopted classification and salary plan; and WHEREAS, the Personnel Officer recommends that various classifications be eliminated, created or modified, and that salary ranges be assigned and adjusted; and WHEREAS, meet and confer requirements of the Meyers-Milias-Brown Act regarding salary and unit assignment matters have been met with Units 4, 14 and 18.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Council of the City of Santa Rosa amends the City classification and salary plan and authorizes the changes to the permanent budgeted positions as follows:
Create the new classification of Technical Services Manager with a salary range of $115,900 - $148,916 annually, in Unit 18 Mid-Management Add 2.0 FTE Technical Services Managers, Unit 18 Mid-Management in the Police Department Delete 1.0 FTE Community Services Officer, Unit 14 Police Civilian Technical Unit in the Police Department Delete 1.0 FTE Senior Administrative Assistant, Unit 4 Support Services in the Police Department Delete 1.0 FTE Technical Services Division Manager, Unit 18 Mid-Management in the Police Department. ///

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Council authorizes the City Manager to implement these changes consistent with the orderly and continual administration of the City’s classification and salary plan.
