RESOLUTION OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA ROSA APPROVING ISSUANCE OF A PURCHASE ORDER TO PAPE TRUCKS, INC. FOR THE PURCHASE OF TWO (2) KENWORTH T880 CLASS 8 DUMP TRUCKS UTILIZING THE SOURCEWELL COOPERATIVE AGREEMENT NUMBER 032824-KTC WITH KENWORTH TRUCK COMPANY, A DIVISION OF PACCAR INC.
WHEREAS, the City of Santa Rosa Transportation and Public Works Department submitted a request to purchase two (2) Kenworth T880 Class 8 Dump Trucks from Pape Trucks, Inc,, utilizing the pricing from the Sourcewell Cooperative Agreement Number 032824-KTC to Kenworth Truck Company, a division of PACCAR Inc.; and WHEREAS, the purchase of the equipment will replace existing City Asset No. 29105 and City Asset No. 29703 used in Santa Rosa Water Department; and WHEREAS, the price schedule through the Sourcewell Cooperative Agreement Number 032824-KTC provides a 36.3% discount off list price for the specified equipment; and WHEREAS, Santa Rosa City Code Section 3-08.160 allows for cooperative purchases when advantageous to the City.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Council approves the issuance of a Purchase Order to Pape Trucks, Inc, with City Purchase Order Terms and Conditions for the purchase of two (2) Kenworth T880 Class 8 Dump Trucks utilizing the pricing from the Sourcewell Cooperative Agreement Number 032824-KTC for a total amount not to exceed $579,053.79 IN COUNCIL DULY PASSED this 7th day of January, 2025.
