RESOLUTION OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA ROSA AMENDING THE MAINTENANCE PORTION OF THE FISCAL YEAR (FY) 2024-25 RECREATION AND PARKS DEPARTMENT GENERAL FUND BUDGET FOR BUDGET REDUCTIONS WHEREAS, the City’s General Fund currently has a structural deficit approximating $13.3 million dollars annually; and WHEREAS, at a Study Session on October 22, 2024, City staff reviewed proposed budget reductions with the Council aimed to close the budget gap; and WHEREAS, the City Manager has requested all City departments explore opportunities for reorganization which would result in greater efficiency and cost savings; and WHEREAS, the budget reductions that include administrative cuts, operational cuts, and programmatic cuts listed in Exhibit A related to the maintenance operations of the FY 2024-25 Recreation and Parks Department budget will be reduced or eliminated immediately.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Council of the City of Santa Rosa hereby approves the amendment to the FY 2024-25 Recreation and Parks Department General Fund budget by reducing the items set forth in Exhibit A to this resolution and made a part of herein.
