RESOLUTION NO. RES-2025-041
RESOLUTION OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA ROSA ACCEPTING AND APPROPRIATING THE $153,987.86 BEQUEST FROM THE ESTATE OF ROSEMARY MAKI-RAMATICI TO THE HOMELESS SHELTER OPERATIONS FUND WHEREAS, the City received a bequest of $153,987.86 on October 17, 2024, from the Estate of Rosemary Maki-Ramatici designated for homeless shelter solutions; and WHEREAS, this budget action is exempt from the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) because it is not a project which has a potential for resulting in either a direct physical change in the environment, or a reasonably foreseeable indirect change in the environment, pursuant to CEQA Guideline Section 15378; and WHEREAS, the City would like to graciously acknowledge receipt of this bequest.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Council hereby accepts a bequest in the amount of $153,987.86 from the Estate of Rosemary Maki-Ramatici to be used to support the implementation of the City’s Homelessness Solutions Strategic Plan (2023-2027).
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Council authorizes the Chief Financial Officer to increase appropriations in the amount of $153,987.86 to Homeless Program Services and Projects in Fund 1209 Revenue Object 4460- Contributions from Private Parties, and JL Key 42124- Homeless Services Pilot Program to support the implementation of the Strategic Plan.
