RESOLUTION OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA ROSA APPROVING A PROJECT SPECIFIC MAINTENANCE AGREEMENT FOR HEARN AVENUE OVERCROSSING WITH CITY OF SANTA ROSA WITH THE STATE OF CALIFORNIA, ACTING BY AND THROUGH THE DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION (CALTRANS), OUTLINING THE REQUIREMENTS AND PROCEDURES FOR MAINTAINING THE HEARN AVENUE AT HIGHWAY 101 – PHASE 3 REBUILD INTERCHANGE PROJECT WHEREAS, the City has begun construction of the Hearn Avenue interchange over US Highway 101 (Project) to improve traffic circulation and regional traffic operations and widen the bridge to promote multi-modal transportation access and connectivity with bicycle lanes and pedestrian sidewalks; and WHEREAS, Caltrans has requested that the City adopt a resolution approving and authorizing the execution of a Project Specific Maintenance Agreement for Hearn Avenue Overcrossing in conformance with Caltrans’ project development process to advance the Project; and WHEREAS, a maintenance agreement between the City and Caltrans is necessary in order to establish agency responsibilities for maintaining the overcrossing.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Council of the City of Santa Rosa approves Project Specific Maintenance Agreement for Hearn Avenue Overcrossing with City of Santa Rosa, in substantially the same form as Exhibit A to the resolution, subject to approval as to form by the City Attorney BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Council hereby authorizes the City Manager to execute the agreement.
