RESOLUTION OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA ROSA APPROVING THE ISSUANCE OF A BLANKET PURCHASE ORDER TO PURCHASE AUTOMOTIVE PARTS AND SUPPLIES UTILIZING THE PRICING FROM EQUALIS GROUP COOPERATIVE PURCHASING AGREEMENT NUMBER COG-2129E TO SMOTHERS PARTS INTERNATIONAL, INC., OF SANTA ROSA, CALIFORNIA WHEREAS, The Transportation and Public Works Department Fleet Maintenance Division submitted a request to approve the issuance of a Purchase Order to purchase automotive parts and supplies utilizing the pricing from Equalis Cooperative Group Purchasing Agreement Number COG-2129E to Smothers Parts International, Inc., Santa Rosa, California; and WHEREAS, the purchase of the automotive parts and supplies will support the Fleet Division in performing maintenance and repairs on City vehicles; and WHEREAS, the price schedule through the Equalis Group Cooperative Purchasing Agreement Number COG-2129E provides a minimum 50% discount off the list price for the available automotive parts and supplies; and WHEREAS, Santa Rosa City Code Section 3-08.160 allows for cooperative purchases when advantageous to the City.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Council approve the issuance of a Purchase Order to purchase automotive parts and supplies utilizing the pricing from Equalis Cooperative Group Purchasing Agreement Number COG-2129E to Smothers Parts International, Inc. of Santa Rosa, California, not to exceed $450,000.
