RESOLUTIONOF THE COUNCIL OFTHE CITY OFSANTA ROSAAPPROVING
REVISEDBENNETT VALLEY GOLFCOURSEFEES
WHEREAS, theCity ownsthe150-acresBennettValley Golf Course (BVGC) facility includingbutnot limited to an18-holegolf courseanddriving range, pro shop, restroom, maintenanceshopsandyards, restaurant, bar, andeventcenter (banquetrooms); and WHEREAS, TouchstoneGolf, LLC (Touchstone) operates, maintains, andmanagesthe BVGC underAgreementF002437sinceJuly 1, 2022; and
WHEREAS, Touchstoneconducteda marketrateanalysisof thelocal NorthBay municipalgolf operationsandfoundthattheBVGC feesarewell undermarketrate; and WHEREAS, theBVGC feeswerelastupdatedin 2023with theprior updatefrom 2017; and
WHEREAS, TouchstoneprovidedanupdateregardingtheBVGC feesaspartof alarger presentationregardingtheirmanagementandoperationsof BVGC attheLongTermFinancial Policy Audit SubcommitteeonMarch21, 2024, andtheCommitteerecommendedCouncil approvalof theproposedincreasedfees; and
WHEREAS, staffis proposingrevisedfeesfor theBVGC assetforth in Exhibit A – BennettValley Golf CourseFees; and
WHEREAS, on May 7, 2024, theCouncilhelda duly noticedpublic hearingon the proposedrevised, andeliminatedfees, atwhich all thosewishingto beheardwereallowedto speakor presentcomments.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVEDthattheCouncilof theCity of SantaRosa increasescertaingolf feesandestablishesanewresidentandnon-residentfeesfor BennetValley Golf Courseassetforth in Exhibit A, which is incorporatedasif fully setforth herein, effective July 1, 2024.
