RESOLUTION OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA ROSA APPROVING THE ISSUANCE OF A PURCHASE ORDER FOR THE PURCHASE OF TEN (10) TOYOTA TACOMA SR PICKUPS UTILIZING THE CALIFORNIA DEPARTMENT OF GENERAL SERVICES STATEWIDE FLEET VEHICLE CONTRACT 1-22-23-20C TO CAPPO MANAGEMENT XXXIV, INC. DBA FREEWAY TOYOTA WHEREAS, The Transportation and Public Works Fleet Maintenance Division submitted a request to approve the issuance of a Purchase Order to purchase ten (10) Toyota Tacoma SR pickups to Cappo Management XXXIV, Inc. dba Freeway Toyota of Hanford California; and WHEREAS, the purchase will utilize solicitation and pricing secured by the California Statewide Fleet Vehicle Contract 1-22-23-20C (“Statewide Contract”); and WHEREAS, the process in creating the Statewide Contract includes research, specifications preparation, pre-bid and proposal conferences, legal notice posting and advertising, bid/proposal review, and contract execution at the State level; and WHEREAS, Santa Rosa City Code Section 3-08.160 allows for utilization of purchasing agreements maintained by the State when advantageous to the City; and WHEREAS, use of the Statewide Contract is advantageous to the City as it provides an expedited procurement process, professional staff assistance, and research and development of technical specifications; and WHEREAS, the purchase will replace existing assets used in Santa Rosa Water that are eligible for Fleet Replacement.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Council approve the issuance of a Purchase Order to purchase ten (10) Toyota Tacoma SR pickups to Cappo Management XXXIV, Inc. dba Freeway Toyota of Hanford, California, not to exceed $383,209.20 IN COUNCIL DULY PASSED this 6th day of May, 2025.
