RESOLUTION OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA ROSA EXPANDING THE DOWNTOWN RESIDENTIAL PERMIT PARKING ZONE TO INCLUDE THE 100 BLOCK OF SOTOYOME STREET WITHIN THE TALBOT/MEMORIAL RESIDENTIAL PERMIT PARKING ZONE WHEREAS, the Finance Department received a petition from residents of the 100 block of Sotoyome Street requesting to be included in the Talbot/Memorial Residential Permit Parking Zone; and WHEREAS, City Code Section 11-44.050 establishes the procedure for creating Residential Permit Parking Zones; and WHEREAS, the petition represents 94% of residential units on the 100 block of Sotoyome Street (17 of 18) proposed for inclusion in the Downtown Residential Permit Parking Zone, depicted on the attached Exhibit A; and WHEREAS, the Department held a Neighborhood Meeting with residents, on March 12, 2025, to review the issues and discuss the merits of modifying the Talbot/Memorial Residential Permit Parking Zone to include the 100 block of Sotoyome Street; and WHEREAS, it has been determined that this block meets the City’s requirements for inclusion in the Residential Permit Parking Program; and WHEREAS, there would be no change to current parking restrictions, including a 2-hour time limit from 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., Monday through Saturday.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Council of the City of Santa Rosa approves the expansion of the Talbot/Memorial Residential Permit Parking Zone to include the 100 block of Sotoyome Street within the Talbot/Memorial Residential Permit Parking Zone, as depicted in Exhibit A, attached to this resolution and made a part herein.
