RESOLUTION NO. RES-2025-102
RESOLUTION OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA ROSA APPROVING A CONCESSION LICENSE AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE CITY OF SANTA ROSA AND PONY EXPRESS EQUINE ASSISTED SKILLS FOR YOUTH WHEREAS, the City’s Recreation and Parks Department desires to include pony ride concession services at Howarth Park; and WHEREAS, The Pony Express Equine Assisted Skills for Youth ("Pony Express") has been providing pony rides in Howarth Park for over 35 years; and WHEREAS, the Concession License Agreement, attached as Exhibit A, establishes that pony concessions at Howarth Park will be provided by Pony Express; and WHEREAS, the Concession License Agreement is for a term of three years in an amount not to exceed $360,000.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Council of the City of Santa Rosa approves the Concession License Agreement for pony rides at Howarth Park between the City of Santa Rosa and The Pony Express Equine Assisted Skills for Youth in substantially the same form as Exhibit A to the resolution, subject to the approval as to form by the City Attorney.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Council authorizes the Chief Financial Officer to pay all proper charges to Pony Express from Key 390403-5320 pursuant to the terms of the Agreement.
