RESOLUTION OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA ROSA APPROVING A PROFESSIONAL SERVICES AGREEMENT WITH MARK LATIMER & ASSOCIATES, INC. DBA CODA TECHNOLOGY GROUP FOR BROADCAST PLAYBACK SYSTEM REPLACEMENT AT CITY COUNCIL CHAMBER WHEREAS, the City purchased and installed its current broadcast system in 2017, which provides recording and playback of Council and other public meetings, as well as administration of media content for the City’s four Public, Educational, and Government (PEG) channels; and WHEREAS, this system is now beyond its end of support life and does not meet the current needs for publicly generated and Spanish-language content; and WHEREAS, Mark Latimer & Associates, Inc. dba Coda Technology Group offers the best value to the City; and WHEREAS, PEG funds, which are generated through cable franchise fees with the sole use being dedicated to capital assets associated with PEG operations facilities and public, educational, and governmental broadcasting, will be used to pay for the replacement and there will be no impact to the General Fund; and WHEREAS, the IT Department reviewed the quote from Coda Technology Group and found it to be in line with current pricing for the specified goods and services. / / /

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Council of the City of Santa Rosa approves a Professional Services Agreement with Mark Latimer & Associates, Inc. dba Coda Technology Group, Petaluma, California, in substantially the same form as Exhibit A to the resolution, subject to approval as to form by the City Attorney, to upgrade the broadcast playback system, in an amount not to exceed $144,153.00, which includes a $2,000 contingency.
