RESOLUTION NO. RES-2025-131
RESOLUTION OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA ROSA INCREASE IN FIRE PERMIT ADMINISTRATION AND CERTIFIED UNIFIED PROGRAM AGENCY (CUPA) FEES WHEREAS, the fire permit micrographic and technology fees have not increased since 2006; and WHEREAS, the Fire Department’s CUPA program is fully funded by the permit fees; and WHEREAS, with advancements in technology, costs for software, equipment and system maintenance costs have risen there is a need to increase fees; and WHEREAS, the Fire Department recommends increasing CUPA annual permit fees by 5% of the current fee; and WHEREAS, the Fire Department recommends increasing micrographic and technology fees by 1.5% for a total of 4% of the permit fee; and WHEREAS, on July 22, 2025, the Council held a duly noticed public hearing on the proposed revised fees, at which all those wishing to be heard were allowed to speak or present written comments.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Council of the City of Santa Rosa approve the increase in micrographic, technology fees and CUPA operating permit fees with an effective date of July 22, 2025, as set forth in the Fee Schedule attached to this resolution as Exhibit A and made a part of herein.
