RESOLUTION NO. RES-2025-127
RESOLUTION OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA ROSA APPROVING THE SANTA ROSA CITYBUS PUBLIC TRANSIT AGENCY SAFETY PLAN 2025 UPDATE WHEREAS, transit agencies receiving Federal Urbanized Area Formula Program (49 U.S.C. § 5307) funds must submit a Public Transit Agency Safety Plan (PTASP) to the Federal Transit Administration under the Public Transit Agency Safety Plan final rule (49 CFR Part 673); and WHEREAS, the PTASP must include processes and procedures to implement a Safety Management System (SMS); and WHEREAS, the PTASP must include performance targets and a tracking process; and WHEREAS, Santa Rosa Transit Division staff have prepared a PTASP meeting federal requirements; and WHEREAS, the Santa Rosa Transit Division has established a Safety Committee to assist with plan implementation and establishing safety-related performance targets; and WHEREAS, Santa Rosa Transit Division staff monitor and update the plan annually; and WHEREAS, Santa Rosa Transit Division staff have completed the annual review and update of the PTASP for 2025 and received approval from the Safety Committee.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Council of the City of Santa Rosa approves the Santa Rosa CityBus Public Transit Agency Safety Plan 2025 Update, attached to this resolution as Exhibit A and made a part of herein.
