RESOLUTION NO. RES-2025-150
RESOLUTION OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA ROSA TO APPROVE A MEMORANDUM OF UNDERSTANDING WITH BURBANK HOUSING MANAGEMENT CORPORATION FOR AFTER-SCHOOL ENRICHMENT AND RECREATION PROGRAMS AND AUTHORIZE THE DIRECTOR OF HOUSING AND COMMUNITY SERVICES TO EXECUTE WHEREAS, Burbank Housing Management Corporation has agreed to partner with the City of Santa Rosa Recreation Division to provide after-school enrichment and recreation programs for youth; and WHEREAS, Burbank Housing Management Corporation has agreed to pay the City of Santa Rosa $189,600 per year for providing these services; and WHEREAS, the Recreation Division maintains Fund 001882-1260 ‘Change For Kids’ to manage revenues dedicated to youth services provided through the Neighborhood Services Section and these funds will be utilized to provide Santa Rosa youth access to high quality Recreation programs; and WHEREAS, Burbank Housing Management Corporation has agreed to provide space at selected properties and the City of Santa Rosa Recreation Division agrees to provide adequate staffing, supplies and curriculum; and WHEREAS, this is a renewed Memorandum of Understanding for the 2025–2026 school year, aligned with the Santa Rosa City Schools’ instructional calendar that will remain in effect for three years.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Council of the City of Santa Rosa approves the Memorandum of Understanding with Burbank Housing Management Corporation for After School Enrichment and Recreation Programs, in substantially the same form as Exhibit A to the resolution, subject to approval as to form by the City Attorney. / / /

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Council authorizes the Director of Housing and Community Services or designee to execute the Memorandum of Understanding, attached to this resolution as Exhibit A and made a part of herein, subject to approval as to form by the City Attorney.
