RESOLUTION NO. RES-2025-167
RESOLUTION OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA ROSA ESTABLISHING NEW AND REVISED FEES WITHIN THE CITY’S FEE SCHEDULE FOR RECREATION AND PARKS RELATED PROGRAMS AND SERVICES WHEREAS, staff is proposing new and revised fees for the program and services associated with the City’s Recreation and Parks facilities, as set forth in Exhibit A to this Resolution; and WHEREAS, pursuant to Government Code Section 66018(a), prior to adopting a resolution adopting a new fee or approving an increase in an existing fee, the City shall hold a public hearing, at which oral or written presentations can be made, as part of a regularly scheduled meeting with notice of the time and place of the public hearing, including a general explanation of the matter to be considered; with notice of the time and place of meeting, including a general explanation of the matter to be considered, published in accordance with Section 6062a of the Government Code; and
WHEREAS, Resolution 22307, delegated authority to the Director of Recreation & Parks to set the necessary fees for seasonal program activities, excursions, special events, and athletic league fees based on the City’s actual costs for the activities; and WHEREAS, the proposed fee schedule creates modest adjustments to the existing fees to assist the City in addressing rising service costs while continuing to provide programs and facilities to the public.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Council of the City of Santa Rosa establishes new and revised fees as set forth in Exhibit A to this Resolution effective January 1, 2026; and BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the authority to set the necessary fees for seasonal program activities, excursions, special events, and athletic league fees based on the City’s actual costs for the activities be delegated to the Director of Housing and Community Services.
