RESOLUTION NO. RES-2025-182
RESOLUTION OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA ROSA TO APPROVE THE ADDITION OF NON STOP TOWING, INC., TO THE CITY OF SANTA ROSA’S TOW VENDOR FRANCHISEE LIST FOR POLICE GENERATED TOW OPERATIONS WHEREAS, the City requires tow services in the exercise of its police powers as necessary or appropriate to the general welfare of its citizens; and WHEREAS, on July 20, 2004, the City adopted Chapter 6-84 of the Santa Rosa City Code authorizing the City Council to grant franchises to one or more tow operations for police generated tow services and require the payment of a franchise fee; and WHEREAS, the City would like to grant a new franchise to Non Stop Towing, Inc., adding them to the rotational tow list for use by police generated tow operations.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Council of the City of Santa Rosa grants a tow franchise to Non Stop Towing, Inc. for police generated tow operations and adds them to the Tow Vendor List, attached to this resolution as Exhibit A and made a part of herein.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Council approves the Franchise Agreement for Vehicle Tow Services with Non Stop Towing, Inc. in substantially the same form as Exhibit B to the resolution, subject to approval as to form by the City Attorney.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Council authorizes the City Manager or designee to make non-substantive changes and execute the Franchise Agreement for Vehicle Tow Services, subject to approval as to form by the City Attorney.
