RESOLUTION NO. RES-2026-043
RESOLUTION OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA ROSA REPEALING COUNCIL POLICY 000-34 – “ESTABLISHING POLICY FOR CITIZEN PUBLIC APPEARANCES AND ADDRESSING THE COUNCIL ON AGENDA ITEMS” WHEREAS, Council Policy 000-34, was adopted by Resolution No. 21153 on January 5, 1993 to establish a policy for citizen appearances and addressing Council on issues not listed on the agenda but affecting the community and items listed on the agenda; and WHEREAS, Council Policy 000-34 has been amended two times to align with changes to the order of Council business within the City Council Manual of Procedures and Protocols to improve community participation opportunities during Council meetings; and WHEREAS, subsequent Councils have amended the City Council Manual of Procedures and Protocols and adopted Santa Rosa City Code Chapter 1-10 – Open Government to memorialize and further strengthen all requirements found in Council Policy 000-34 and as a result, Council Policy 000-34 is now outdated.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Council of the City of Santa Rosa repeals outdated and superseded Council Policy 000-34 – “Establishing Policy for Citizen Public Appearance and Addressing the Council on Agenda Items.” IN COUNCIL DULY PASSED this 21st day of April, 2026.
