RESOLUTION OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA ROSA ACCEPTING A $750,000 DONATION FROM SONOMA LAND TRUST FOR SOUTHEAST GREENWAY MASTER PLAN AND AUTHORIZING THE CHIEF FINANCIAL OFFICER TO INCREASE APPROPRIATIONS WHEREAS, Sonoma Land Trust has served as a longstanding partner in the acquisition and advancement of the Southeast Greenway; and WHEREAS, the Southeast Greenway represents one of the City’s most significant park and active transportation projects; and WHEREAS, Sonoma Land Trust approved a $750,000 donation to the City of Santa Rosa to support the development of the Southeast Greenway Master Plan; and WHEREAS, the donated funds are restricted for activities directly related to the development of the Southeast Greenway Master Plan, with emphasis on strengthening community engagement and expanding opportunities for public participation; and WHEREAS, the parties would like to acknowledge receipt of this donation.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Council of the City of Santa Rosa hereby accepts a $750,000 donation from Sonoma Land Trust to be used for the Southeast Greenway Master Plan.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Council authorizes the Chief Financial Officer to increase appropriations by the amount of the donated funds.
