RESOLUTION NO. RES-2026-112
RESOLUTION OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA ROSA APPROVING CLASSIFICATION AND COMPENSATION CHANGES AND ADOPTING THE UPDATED SALARY PLAN AND SCHEDULE WHEREAS, the Human Resources Director, serving as the City’s Personnel Officer on behalf of the City Manager, administers the classification and salary plans adopted by the City Council; and WHEREAS, the Personnel Officer recommends the creation, reclassification, retitling, and revision of certain classifications; the establishment and adjustment of associated salary ranges; and related position-allocation and budget-document changes; and WHEREAS, the City Charter requires the Council to approve compensation paid to City employees; and WHEREAS, the City has satisfied its applicable meet-and-confer obligations regarding the proposed classification and compensation changes; and WHEREAS, California Code of Regulations, Title 2, Section 570.5 requires the Council to approve and adopt a publicly available pay schedule identifying the position title and pay rate for each City position for purposes of determining compensation earnable under the California Public Employees’ Retirement System; and WHEREAS, the Council finds that the actions authorized by this resolution are not a project subject to the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) pursuant to CEQA Guidelines Section 15378 because they involve governmental personnel and administrative activities that will not result in a direct or reasonably foreseeable indirect physical change in the environment.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Council of the City of Santa Rosa approves implementation of this phase of the Citywide Classification and Compensation Study as follows:
Receives the Classification and Compensation Study Report attached as Exhibit A; Approves the classification changes identified in Exhibit B; Establishes the salary ranges identified in Exhibit C;
Approves the position-allocation and related budget-document changes identified in Exhibit D; and Adopts the updated Salary Plan and Schedule attached as Exhibit E, effective on the dates identified therein. / / /

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that Exhibits A through E are incorporated into and made part of this resolution.
