I'm asking that you put Flock on the agenda so that a vote can take place before the contract is renewed.
We supposedly live in a democracy. We elected city council members. Overwhelming numbers of Santa Rosa residents oppose the usage of Flock and other invasive and unsafe automated license plate readers.
Do the right thing. Put it to vote and vote to remove Flock.
Fascism is on the rise. Just this morning U.S. congress member Ilhan Omar had her house searched by "Homeland Security." It's only going to get worse. There are news reports that ICE is coming to California to abduct anyone who is not here "legally." Not even the criminals. It's only a matter of time that these cameras will be misused by the federal government. This is too reckless.
Put it to vote and get it out of here!

Hello,
I am writing this email as a resident of Santa Rosa to express my overall disapproval of not just Flock cameras, but any form of mass surveillance in my community. Despite their "privacy safeguards" Flock has been used as a tool for stalking multiple times as well as other forms of abuse. Additionally, they have aided ICE in their efforts to terrorize communities across this country.
I will never vote for anyone who supports the use of this technology.
That extends to all other surveillance companies as well; it's not the name Flock that enables the abuses of power but the technology and business structure itself.
