Subject: Jan 28 Council Agenda #11 PH for Project Major Revision (MJR-2025-001) to DP (DR 2023-0002)
January 27, 2026
Good morning Honorable Mayor and City Councilmembers -
This email is in reference to the January 28th City Council Agenda -Item#11 Public Hearing for Major Revision (MJR-2025-001) to the Development Permit (DR 2023-002) as previously approved by City Council on August 27, 2025 (Palisades Santee Commerce Center) On behalf of the Hillcreek Neighborhood homeowners signed below we have no additional concerns regarding the project or the requested Major Revision as presented in the item (Staff report, Resolution, Permit Conditions...).
As we expressed in our June 2025 letter and in our statements at the August 2025 Project EIR public hearing, our concerns as it pertains to the noise and visual aesthetics this project will bring to our residential neighborhood have not changed.
However, we acknowledge and appreciate the actions that were taken to help mitigate the noise that will occur during the 15-months of construction (M-Sat 7am-7pm) as well as for the normal operations of the permit (M-Sat 7am-7pm). Specifically, the "ongoing permit conditions" included in the Resolution and Development Permit.
In closing, we will take the advice that was given to us during the EIR hearing and always report to staff / law enforcement any excess noise and possible violations of the City's Noise Ordinance.
Sincerely,
Robert & Tania Comella, Larry & Bonnie Ellis, Kevin & Tonnia Frakes, Robin Fries, Doug Hansen, Bill & Stacey LoMedico, Mandy Navarro, and Rick & June Skinner.
