Cameron Razavi, Alice Merrill, and Babette McDougal provided public comments.

The City Council reviewed the revised draft RFP for the Turney Street Dock Repair and Business Partnership, and directed staff to proceed with a single RFP that (1) maximizes creativity, (2) explicitly allows proposals that include an operational component for the public boat launch, and (3) incorporates both a one-year pilot phase and a potential longer-term operation, with the structure to be refined by an ad hoc working group of Councilmembers Cox and Sobieski, by eliminating the separate “Option A” and “Option B” constructs and encouraging greater agility and flexibility in the pilot requirements.

The ad hoc group was directed to simplify and streamline the RFP while preserving requirements for financial and operational viability, to bring back a revised RFP as a business item at the next Council meeting, and to clarify that public access and maritime character are required elements.

Further, Mayor Woodside and Councilmember Hoffman were directed to meet with Cameron Razavi to discuss compatibility and coordination between his Site 301 housing concepts and the City’s Turney Street dock vision.
