The City Council met in Closed Session at 5: 30 p. m. in the teleconference.

PUBLIC COMMUNICATIONS
Mayor Kalmick opened oral communications. Acting City Clerk Engstrom announced that no supplemental communications were received. Mayor Kalmick then closed oral communications.
TELECONFERENCE FINDINGS
Pursuant to Government Code Section 54953( e)( 1), due to recent COVID- 19 exposures within the City of Seal Beach organization, it is recommended that the City Council find that its meetings will be conducted via teleconference until further notice, and that meeting in person would present imminent risks to the health or safety of attendees. State and local states of emergency relating to the pandemic remain in effect. Recommendations and requirements for social distancing and isolation of symptomatic individuals and those who have been exposed to COVID- 19 remain in effect. The public may observe and participate in the meeting via teleconference or otherwise electronically as indicated on the first page of the agenda.
Councilmember Varipapa moved, Councilmember Massa- Lavitt seconded, that the Council adopt the findings required by Government Code Section 54953( e). After a roll call vote, the motion carried 5- 0.
