Mayor Sustarsic adjourned the Special Closed Session meeting at 6:50 p.m.
Following the meeting, City Attorney Ghirelli provided the following announcements:
All 5 Council Members were present, except that Mayor Pro Tern Landau recused herself on Item B due to a potential conflict of interest.
The City Council appointed Patrick Gallegos as Interim City Manager effective November 1, 2024, subject to approval of an amendment to Mr. Gallegos' employment agreement at the September 9, 2024 City Council meeting. The vote was unanimous.
The City Council approved a mutual release agreement with Mr. Brian Kyle involving matters relating to the pending litigation between the City of Seal Beach and Beach House at the River, LLC. The vote was unanimous, with Mayor Pro Tern Landau recusing herself.
