SUBJECT: APPROVE A MAYOR'S YOUTH FUND CONTRIBUTION REQUEST FROM WORLD OUTREACH SERVICES, INC.

RECOMMENDATION
Approve a request from World Outreach Services, Inc. for a donation of $3,000.00 from the Mayor's Youth Fund to help cover the costs associated with their Youth Financial Literacy Program.

BACKGROUND
World Outreach Services, Inc. is requesting a $3,000.00 donation from the Mayor's Youth Fund to help cover the costs associated with their Youth Financial Literacy Program. Their program empowers youth with a foundation for money principals that will impact their lives for generations. Their program goals are to introduce youth to banking, checking, and savings; teach them what credit is and how credit works; understand financial planning; have them participate in a job placement program and teach the youth how to start planning for the future. During each session, there will be various projects that will promote the importance of recycling, clean-up and green sustainability among the youth for a healthy environment.

Based on the information provided, staff has determined that the application meets the requirements of the Mayor's Youth Fund Policy. World Outreach Services, Inc. received their last donation at the August 03, 2023, City Council meeting. They submitted their 2023 Mayor's Youth Fund Closing Report within the 60-day time frame.
