Subject: Plan to Remove Polley Field

Hello City Council of Sebastopol,
Our Little League has brought us to the attention of plans to remove Polley Field from Ives Park. My family of 6, native of Sebastopol for 43 years is highly against the proposal for the option to remove the field.
We believe that organized sports is of great value to our 4 kids who have grown up playing soccer, basketball, softball and baseball in our local leagues of Sebastopol. With all of the wonderful benefits from raising our children in Sebastopol, having limited options to baseball fields, soccer fields and basketball courts has always put Sebastopol children at a slight disadvantage compared to the children in larger cities. Despite that fact, Sebastopol families have a strong network of parents and volunteers to make the most of our situation for our children. Taking away a valuable baseball field would be detrimental to the future generations of Sebastopol children.
We will continue to voice our opinion of being against the plan to remove Polley Field.
