To the City Council,
We are long-time Sebastopol residents with deep family roots in West County.
My great-grandparents helped to found the Town of Graton. We have a strong sense that this is a safe and wholesome place to raise our three young daughters.
Well, it has felt that way, until recently.
We have the sense now that the City Council is endangering our family, our neighbors and friends, our community. With smart phones and Wifi equipment, we can choose when and if we will use them around our children. With the City choosing to install wireless water meters that signal regularly to and from the Cell towers, we have no control. Government is taking away our control in our small town! My great-grandparents would be appalled!
Maybe to you these meters seem to be small things. However, science tells us that the greater the accumulation and overlap of Radio Frequency Radiation from Wifi devices, the greater the dangers to our growing children.
Please do not continue with this reckless decision that does not respect the values of citizens.
People who wish to, can buy devices to use as individuals to monitor their own water use. It is not necessary for the government to take this control, and take this choice away from us. People know how to conserve water without smart meters!
Please observe the smart meter Moratorium already in place, and stop this ridiculous project.
