Dear council members,
I recently became aware that you might be moving to replace the old analog mechanical water meters with newer digital models that I assume will not require opening the cabinets to read them. While I appreciate that this will result in a reduced staff to read the meters, I have to say, if the info I received is correct, it seems that a 2Million price tag is pretty excessive, and durability is reported to be an issue as well.. It seems that this may be a poor use of city funds.
