Subject: Water Meters / Rate increases
Date: Monday, February 14, 2022 1:51:53 PM
I am a Sebastopol resident living at in town. I am writing, mainly, out of concern for any action that will continue to raise the cost of water and sewage service for residents in town. I am a senior, who has had to give up my profession to care for my husband, who is ill (and now on hospice). When he passes, I will be living here alone and attempting to cover these rising costs on one income (mostly social security). I am not concerned about EMFs. They’re already everywhere!
If putting in new meters will continue to raise our rates, I oppose them. Period. I know there is a “base rate” for water and sewage. I don’t believe that rate should be the same for a senior living alone as it is for a family of four (or more). I cannot show up at the meeting in person (or on Zoom) as I am my husband’s sole caregiver.
Thanks for reading. I would appreciate a reply.
