Subject: Support Parking Ordinance
Date: Thursday, February 17, 2022 1:42:41 PM
Dear Council Members,
I am writing to support agenda item #10, Adoption of Ordinance 1136, An Ordinance of the City of Sebastopol Adding Chapter 10.76 Recreational Vehicle Parking Ordinance and Amending Chapter 10.36 of the Sebastopol Municipal Code.

As City Manager McLaughlin stated at the 1/18/22 meeting, the Parking Ordinance can be implemented immediately without any additional RV Parking.

In addition, Council committed to implementing a City Wide Parking Ordinance prior to moving any vehicles onto the SAVS Safe Parking Site.

There are currently 8 vehicles on the site and Council has not approved a Parking Ordinance. Council needs to uphold its commitment to its constituents and pass a Parking Ordinance prior to moving more vehicles onto the RV site at 845 Gravenstein North.

I would also like to add that with the trailers that are at the Gravenstein it is already becoming an eye sore. I am angry that people have to see that when driving on Gravenstein Hwy North. Will they keep a fence around it….And the poor people that live near that and the poor store owners having that right next to them. This was a poor spot to put this..they would be better off on Morris Street. Do you really think that everyone will move from Morris Street to Gravenstein Hwy North ? I don’t think so with rules and regulations that will be put in place.

Sincerely
Connie Williams
Thank you,
