Time is overdue for city council meetings to return to "in person" so that Sebastopol's citizenry can interface directly with their elected officials.
City council's reasoning for continuing virtual meetings states that, "The state of emergency as a result of COVID-19 continues to directly impact the ability of the members of City Council and the members of the City's subordinate bodies to meet safely in person."
This statement clearly demonstrates how out of touch with reality city council members are.
Life in Sebastopol has nearly returned to normal for its citizens who gather and shop without fear, with the evident exception of city council.
