Dear City Council and Staff,
Preserve Rural Sonoma County supports the proposed Ordinance to prohibit new gas stations in Sebastopol. We represent over 3,000 concerned citizens who support protecting the rural character of Sonoma County from the urbanization and commercialization of ag and rural lands.
Sebastopol currently has more than enough gas stations and does not need any more. Given the city's acknowledgement of the urgent climate crisis and its connection to the fossil fuel industry, now is the time to walk your talk and ban additional gas stations in our community.
We urge you to unanimously vote YES tonight and pass the ordinance prohibiting new gas stations.
