To the Sebastopol City Council,
We are writing to you on behalf of The Gravenstein Apple Fair in hope that you will grant their submitted request for more support for the fair.
As a community-wide, family-friendly event, we consider the Fair the cornerstone of the Gravenstein Apple industry in Sebastopol. Golden State Cider would not have gotten its start without Gravenstein Apples and we have been active members and supporters of the fair since our start.
We support their request for additional traffic support. With the Fair expecting to draw a significant number of attendees, the additional police presence to assist in directing traffic will make the entire event more successful. Having official Sebastopol Police Department officers directing the flow of traffic would greatly mitigate traffic jams and provide smoother and safer entry to the fair for vendors, presenters, musicians, volunteers, and attendees.
We are delighted at the opportunity to participate once again in this important event and look forward to seeing council and community members alike.
In highest regards,
Jolie Devoto
