Dear Members of the Sebastopol City Council,
I am writing regarding my serious concerns about the proposed Woodmark Development on Bodega Avenue. I am concerned that this development will significantly impact traffic and parking on nearby streets and therefore affect the safety of pedestrians. I have two children who often walk to school and I feel that it is already a risky journey with poor sidewalk accessibility and limited visibility in some areas. More cars on these roads will only worsen conditions.
In addition, the plans for extensive grading and retaining walls will have a negative impact on the heritage trees that have stood in adjacent lots for decades.
I understand the need for more affordable housing in the area, but I hope we can find a better solution with a development that is more appropriate for the location and has a positive rather than negative impact on our neighborhood.
