Dear Council,
I do not support any more of my tax money, or Sebastopol’s tax money, going to transient services.
However, I do have questions:
1. How many people now live at The Sebastopol Inn?
2. What is the cost for security? I have heard horror stories about what goes on nearby while the “security person” is on their phone.
3. Why are the citizens of Sebastopol paying for a homeless outreach coordinator when we need equipment for our fire department?
4. How do I get a copy of the annual budget for the Sebastopol Inn?
5. Why are the citizens of Sebastopol footing the bill for housing transients who do not pay taxes here?
6. Why are you not spending tax payer funds on a grant writer for fire department needs?
7. Why does Sebastopol have the highest per capita transient beds of any city in Sonoma County?
8. Why do I feel so frustrated dealing with this city council? Mary Cone
