Sorry this is late...
The Head West Marketplace is a huge boon for local businesses. It brings hundreds if not thousands of people to our town who stay local for lunch, dinner, and exploring.
To say it negatively effects a certain business like the theater is hard to imagine. I'd need to see historical sales over the weeks befor head west and then after it started each year before that argument holds any water. My guess is their sales are unaffected or they increase.
We need more reasons to bring people to town that aren't focused on alcohol sales.
People who want to purchase things made by locals, shop at stores, and stay for dinner. The Barlow can't serve every one that comes, they must go out into the town to dine locally. There must be so much more good than perceived harm. Any of the fears can easily be resolved, and any reduction or removal of Head west would create much more losses in revenue, exposure, and taxes.
