Dear Ms Gourley
PG&E wants to install smart meters at the end of this month.
I live in a senior community where many people have chronic health problems including autoimmune illnesses, neurological illness, cardiac problems and many more. We also have a few people who have electrosensitivity.
There is alot of research and statements from many doctors and scientists linking RF radiation from smart meters to many symptoms including insomnia, headaches, dizziness, arythmias, burning sensations on the skin and more.
There are also many sites where people have written in about health problems that only developed after smart meters were installed.
Many of those people were not electrosensitive and most had no idea that installing a smart meter would affect them. For most of them their symptoms are reduced or go away when they leave home and are away from the smart meters.
Also I suspect there are people out there who are dealing with insomnia or heart palpitations or headaches and chalk it up to old age or stress and have never checked to see if their smart meter could be the underlying cause.
Here is a site with many comments and letters from people who have been adversely affected.
Everyone on the city council should read these before allowing PG&E to install smart meters in a city with a history of smart meter bans. Please know that installing these meters will threaten the health of many who are elders or already ill but they can also affect healthy people.

"Within 1 hour of having our smart meter installed my wife started getting heart palpitations, headaches, brain fog and trouble sleeping. I have had brain fog and trouble sleeping. When we leave our home for a day then our systems return back to normal. We went to visit our family away from our home for 2 days to celebrate Thanksgiving and again felt much better. When we returned so did the problems.
We have our own business and have to work out of our home. It seems that America was a country of freedom of choice and not a country where things can be shoved down our throats and when we ask for reasonable changes we are turned down. We should have the choice of what goes on our house that is reasonable and safe to our health.
If you are normal or of normal health than a smart meter may not effect you but to the percentage of people that have medical issues please do not discriminate or destroy their ability to function normally or lose productivity."
