To whom it may concern,
I am writing as a resident of Sebastopol who has come to value the public triangle of space outside of Screamin’ Mimi’s. The shop draws people from all over the Bay Area and acts like a welcome mat for our village from the south. Our town has so many odd directional streets with traffic that does not encourage public gathering. The Barlow has achieved much to alter this, but the rest of the town is dictated by heavy traffic flow.
It has been brought to my attention that complaints have been made about this triangle. It is a blip of road, which in the past only created another traffic wedge in an already weird road pattern. What is the benefit of returning it to road use?
Myself and others value the small town benefits of such a space and hope it can remain as it is now.
