Dear Council Members,
This letter is to show our support for Adam Lam and "The Rewind" as a family-friendly place that should also be able to serve beer on the premises.
We have known Adam as fellow parents at Gravenstein Elementary School. Our sons are peers and close friends so we have had the opportunity to know Adam as a valued member of our shared school community.
With "The Rewind" the city of Sebastopol will be gaining tremendous talent. The Lams are precisely who we want operating small businesses in our community. They have a sense of duty, integrity, and a strong moral compass.
We own a business that sells equipment to wineries, breweries, and distilleries. Our customers are always looking for more distribution outlets. The Rewind Arcade Bar will provide small brewers with another potential customer which in turn supports these brewers - many of whom are Sebastopol residents.
The Rewind Arcade Bar will improve the diversity of things to do in Sebastopol. Without the option of beer to accompany the experience, "The Rewind" will not be able to compete on equal footing. Other family friendly venues that serve beer such as movie theaters do not seem to have issues. This seems to be an outdated and unsubstantiated ordinance. We are regulars at the theater, restaurants, and tasting rooms in Sebastopol but we find ourselves wanting when it comes to activities. The Rewind Arcade will contribute to Sebastopol's charm and will add much needed variety in terms of available entertainment.
We would be thrilled at the prospect of sharing these vintage games with our young children.

Hello City Council members,
I am writing in support of Adam Lam for his business "The Rewind" at the Barlow. My kids and Adam's kids go to the same school, Gravenstein Elementary, and we have known Adam for several years. I serve along side him and his family at community building/service events for our school district.
Please remove the Municipal Code number 10 to accommodate the intended use of The Rewind. We would love to be able to hang out, have a beer, but at the same time share the joy with our kids.
