Dear Council Members,
I am writing in regards to the appointments to the Climate Action Committee.
As the Climate Action Committee is supported by the City of Sebastopol, City of Sebastopol Staff, City of Sebastopol City Council and City of Sebastopol Tax Dollars, I ask that its membership consist of people who live within the City of Sebastopol and/or own a business within the City of Sebastopol.
People interested in climate issues who do not live or run businesses in the City of Sebastopol can still attend meetings and volunteer but they should not be on the Committee itself as they are not funding its operation and also do not represent the citizens of Sebastopol and its local businesses.
The youth representative should either live in Sebastopol or attend a local school like Analy High School.
Please appoint people who live or run businesses within the city limits of Sebastopol.
