Dear Council Members,
I am writing to oppose the sponsorship of the Rotary Concert in Ives Park solely because the Ives Park Pathway is not ADA Compliant and at a previous Council Meeting there was the report of an elderly person falling and hurting themself.
I ask that a different venue be explored for the concert - perhaps the Community Cultural Center or Center for the Arts - so that the City is not exposed to future falls in the park.
I support the idea of the concert. Until the Ives Park pathway is repaired and made ADA compliant, it should not be considered for a City sponsored event.
