Dear Council,
Re: Feb 21 meeting, Item 10, Bodega Avenue improvements, With the Bodega Ave road surface showing deterioration this portion of the grant money would be appropriately used. However, the inclusions of Bodega Ave bike lanes in this project is a waist of money. The reasons are numerous and compelling.
Below attached is a list of those reasons written when a similar grant was sought. The list is long and the documentation following is lengthy. Please read at least the beginning summary. In short, bike lanes down Bodega Ave will be dangerous, won’t be used, and will be a waste of money. There is a much better option.
Please use funds where they count.
