The week of January 30th 2023 I atended the new Mayors and Council Members Academy in Burbank, CA. This invaluable experience provided required training for both ethics and sexual harassment in addi�on to the Brown Act. This conference provided valuable informa�on on topics such as Effec�ve Advocacy, Financial Responsibili�es, City Revenue, Land use Planning and much more. I found a slide presented for Discre�onary Revenues and Spending to be par�cularly educa�onal given the current discussions we’re currently having as a city. This was a wonderful experience and truly grateful to be able to atend as a new Council Member.
